Among the works of art that have become a symbol of the seventh centenary of Dante's death that the whole world has been celebrating since the beginning of 2021, the "Dante profile" designed and then sculpted by master Stefano Piali, an internationally renowned painter and sculptor, enters by right resident in Marino. The work, whose final project involved the creation of a sculpture in white Carrara marble, one meter high and weighing six quintals, is available in the version-sketch in patinated terracotta and in the graphic studio for whose design at the base Maestro Piali chose to combine the stroke of the sanguine pencil and the pastel. The image has become the icon of the cultural manifesto entitled Dante: the path of desire, promoted by the La Terzina cultural association in partnership with the City of Marino, the leading municipality of the project to which they have given their patronage: the Pontifical Council of Culture, the Diocese of Albano Laziale, the Lazio Region, the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital and the Municipalities of Grottaferrata, Ariccia, Albano Laziale, Castel Gandolfo, Genzano di Roma and Lanuvio, the Adi (Association of Italianists - Dante Group) CLICI (Center for Italian Language and Culture of the Tor Vergata University of Rome), the Marcello Masini Center for Studies on Italian Ars Nova of the fourteenth century and UniTre - local branch of Marino.
